Main is one of the highest-quality multi-purpose cargo vessels built by SLKB Shipyard. It has been designed to meet special needs expressed by shipping companies. We designed a vessel that is equally suitable for the transport of bulk cargoes and for the shipping of 20ft and 40ft containers. What is more, Main can also be used for the shipping of dangerous goods of various IMO classes.
It is designed for restricted international service, mainly for river navigation, but it is also ready for sea.
This type of vessel is built in accordance with the standards of Germanischer Lloyd, and it also complies with all relevant DIN, STN and EN norms. Similarly, all internal norms and construction guidelines of SLKB Shipyard are followed during production. The ship obtains the following classification: GL

The river Main is a part of the 3,600km-long Rhine-Main-Danube Canal. Thanks to the existence of this waterway Slovakia has access to the Black Sea, the North Sea and other European waterways; consequently, to the whole world. SLKB Shipyard is proud to be the builder of cargo vessel Main, since the river Main can be considered to be a link among nations; thus, one of the symbols of European integration.
